Sierra Construction & Excavation, Inc, has been contracted by Arvin Community Services District to install a new water main in Haven Dr. The work includes excavating within the streets. While the work is taking place, at times, Haven Dr. will be closed to thru traffic. The road will remain open to local traffic only. Please note that all efforts will be made to allow travel to and from your home but, at times, you may not have direct access to your driveway, or it may be restricted during the listed working hours. Sierra will commence construction activities on 6/25/25 – 8/13/25. We fully understand the inconvenience our presence will cause, and we can assure you we will do everything in our power to complete our operations as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize the inconvenience.  Our work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. No work is planned for weekends or holidays. Unless there is an unforeseen condition, if you have any concerns during construction, please do not hesitate to address your concerns to our staff on-site. Sierra Construction & Excavation, Inc., ha sido contratada por el Distrito de Servicios Comunitarios de Arvin para instalar una nueva tubería principal de agua en Haven Dr. El trabajo incluye excavaciones dentro de las calles. Mientras se realizan las obras, Haven Dr. estará cerrada al tráfico de paso ocasionalmente. La calle permanecerá abierta únicamente al tráfico local. Tenga en cuenta que se hará todo lo posible para facilitar el acceso a su hogar, pero en ocasiones, es posible que no tenga acceso directo a su entrada o que esté restringido durante el horario laboral indicado. Sierra comenzará las actividades de construcción del 25/06/2025 al 13/08/2025. Entendemos plenamente las molestias que nuestra presencia causará y le aseguramos que haremos todo lo posible para completar nuestras operaciones de la manera más rápida y eficiente posible para minimizar las molestias. Nuestro horario de trabajo será de lunes a viernes de 7:00 a. m. a 3:30 p. m. No se prevén trabajos los fines de semana ni los días festivos. Arvin Community Services District is collaborating with the City of Arvin's Haven Drive Street Improvements from Meyer Street to Comanche Drive. The District has aging infrastructure that can not take the impact from the machines that will be reconstructing the Haven Drive. Therefore, the District is working in unison with the City of Arvin to have the opportunity to replace the water line, valves, fire hydrants and lateral connections on Haven Drive. This collaborative project allows the District to make replacements to aging infrastructure while taking the opportunity that the road will be reconstructed after the project is complete.   

Bids are due May 14th, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. located at the District Office 309 Campus Drive, Arvin, CA 93203

There will be a mandatory pre-bid job walk on May 1st and/or  May 8th  at 10:00 am.

The Engineer’s Estimate for the project right now is approximately $1.3M.
